Location-based reminders

ruff Reminders can use location to remind you when you enter or leave a specific place. This feature is optional and requires location permission, including background location access, so reminders can trigger even when the app is not open.

Your current location is used only on your device to check whether a location-based reminder should trigger. It is not sent to us, sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone. Your current location is not stored.

When you create a location-based reminder, the app stores the trigger details you choose, such as the selected place, radius, enter/exit setting, and any time or day restrictions. These details are used only to trigger that reminder.

If you have no active location-based reminders, ruff Reminders does not check your location.

If you delete a location-based reminder, the location trigger details for that reminder are deleted too.

You can change or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. If location permission is removed, location-based reminders may no longer work.

Data retention

ruff Reminders keeps your reminders and settings on your device only for as long as you keep them in the app.

Data deletion

You can delete reminders at any time in the app. When you delete a reminder, its related data is deleted too.

You can also remove locally stored app data by uninstalling ruff Reminders or clearing the app’s data from your device settings.

ruff Reminders does not send your reminder or location data to the developer, so they cannot view, access, or remotely delete this data ourselves.
